On the 18th of March our Institute, in collaboration with the Physics Department of the Sapienza University and the Indian Embassy in Rome, organized a meeting o “Light and technology: the frontiers of emergent systems”. The meeting aimed at bringing together experts in the field of light-matter interaction, from low- and high-frequency spectroscopy to photonics. These protocols offer a promising tool to characterize and manipulate physical systems, ranging from hard matter to biological systems, with a high potential not only for fundamental research but also for applications in medicine, security and aerospace. On this occasion, there have been presented some on-going research activities involving scientists in Italy and India, as the SuperTop project at ISC.
This meeting has been welcomed by several distinguished personalities, the Sapienza rector Prof. Eugenio Gaudio, the Ambassador of India to Italy and San Marino H.E. Reenat Sandhu, the Director of the Department of Physical Sciences and Technology of Matters of CNR Prof. Corrado Spinella, the Cultural Promotion Official of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Maddalena Pessina, and the Counselor at Lazio Region Dr. Valentina Grippo. The program of the meeting can be downloaded here.
