Topics
Physics of shallow, intermediate and deep earthquakes
Fundamental of rock mechanics
Laboratory experiments
Inferences from real data
Applications to earthquake engineering
This is not merely a school in a strict sense, but is indeed a high–level event for post–doctoral students and scientists. Our aim is to make this course an ideal opportunity to disseminate fundamental and pivotal results of the physics of earthquakes, along with the most recent and challenging findings. Main topics include theoretical modelling, laboratory experiments and analysis of data.
