Valentina Palmieri
Researcher
Dr. Valentina Palmieri is a medical biotechnologist and obtained a PhD in Oncobiology and Medical
Oncology in 2014. She obtained National awards and International Grants such as Fondazione Umberto
Veronesi Post-Doctoral Grant, European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Grant.
Valentina Palmieri is expert in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization and nanoparticle research, and
her work is focused on graphene antimicrobial and diagnostics applications. Current main research interests
are the development of delivery systems for macromolecular drugs, the cytotoxicity of nanomaterials and
their interactions with biological systems and 3D printing graphene.
Valentina Palmieri also developed INSIDIA, a macro for analysis of cancer invasion available at insidia.
